The Virtual Office

by Susan Gruenling on July 22, 2008

The advances in technology allow me to set up office virtually anywhere. I do not need to be near a fax and neither does everyone else. This unchains me from the desk. I can conduct business from my home in Scottsdale, while visiting family on the East Coast, friends on the West Coast or while sipping a latte at a Starbucks anywhere in the world. With a cellphone, laptop and wireless Internet connection a lot can be accomplished. It does not always matter where I am located, as long as I can be easily accessed by phone or email (my fax number converts the document into an email and shows up in my inbox). I can usually be seen traveling around with my laptop in its little briefcase on wheels.

You can’t succeed without work and I am always working hard for my clients, but I just do not need to be tied to an office for 8 hours every day. I can accomplish a long list of tasks with just a computer and Internet service. Of course as a Realtor I do spend a good amount of time behind the wheel; and my odometer can attest to that. There are plenty of Realtor responsibilities that must be accomplished in person. Plus, I have very social personality and truly enjoy spending time with people. But, just because you don’t see me, doesn’t mean that I am not actively working on your real estate needs.
